The Challenge

A sizeable chunk of the HR team’s energies was utilized in collating payroll inputs from all the project sites spread across various geographies. It didn’t help their cause that all the employee data capture and storage was done manually which led to inaccuracies in reporting due to human error. The HR team also had the mandate to establish controls for validation of employee data and flag off ghost employee entries in the system.

Solution Offered

  • Developed an "Input at Source" framework which enabled all sites to upload payroll inputs – with built in validations
  • Inputs routed to project officers for their review and approval which got consolidated automatically
  • As a final check, approval from HR became a mandate before acceptance into payroll
